Facing Disaster

    What do you do if you have just lost almost everything and what you have left people are trying to steal? Can you imagine sleeping with your gun on your pillow loaded under a tarp where your house used to be because you are scared of the looters taking what you have left away from you?What do you do if you cant sleep at night because your being haunted by the noises of the storms that took away the life that you had become accustomed to?Can you imagine watching your child wake up from a nightmare and dashing up out of bed  running, crying, screaming, and just wanting it to all go away because they think the storm is coming back for them?Can you imagine being told that you will not have any running water nor power for 3 weeks to 3 months?Do you think that you could adjust to the military telling you where you can and cant go because they are scared for your safety? These are all questions that the victims of these devastating storms are faced with right now.They are scared, broken hearted, and don't know where they need to start to pick up the pieces of their life's that have been scattered all  around them.

   

       The bigger towns all around are the ones that the news are showing, and while they are facing hard times as well, the people from small towns are not receiving the help they need because many are forgetting that they need help as well.If you would like to donate here is a list of the things that they are needing right now:

The reason I have not started a paypal is because I do not want  everyone to feel as though I want your money because that is not what this is about. If you would rather donate money instead of things on the list I will consider starting one. I feel led to try to organize help for them because they are not receiving the help that they need. The reason I am starting a fund for Flat Rock including County Rd 95 in Flat Rock, Alabama is because my husbands family  and long time family friends have lost their homes and family members and need help to return their life's to a normal state.I will also be distributing the things to other people affected around the area (aka. Ider, etc.).If you know anyone in Flat Rock or in the area that needs any help let me know and I will make a specific list just for their families needs.Please if you cannot donate at least pray for them on their journey to restoration.Thank you so much for your time in reading this and ahead of time thank you for the donations and thoughts.
